- Quote requests: Name, email, phone number, event date, and message content submitted through our quote request forms.
- Usage data: Pages visited, referrer URLs, and anonymized IP addresses for analytics purposes.
- Publicly available data: Business information from Google Maps, Yelp, and other public directories used to create initial listings.
2. How We Use Your Information

- Process quote requests and connect couples with bakers
- Send account verification emails and service notifications
- Provide analytics to bakers about their listing performance
- Improve our search results and recommendation algorithms

3. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use anonymized analytics to understand how visitors use our site. IP addresses are hashed and cannot be traced back to individual users.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Our analytics are first-party and privacy-focused.

- Resend: Transactional email delivery (OTP codes, quote notifications).
- LemonSqueezy: Payment processing for premium subscriptions.

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these cases:
- Quote requests are forwarded to the baker you contacted (name, email, phone, event date, message).
- Baker business information is displayed publicly on the directory (this is the purpose of the service).
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect against fraud or security threats.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data or business listing.
- Opt-out: Remove your bakery listing from our directory at any time using the opt-out button on your profile page.
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.

7. Data Retention
We retain account data as long as your account is active. Quote request data is retained for 12 months. Analytics data is aggregated daily and raw page view records are retained for 90 days. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
8. Security
We protect your data using industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords and tokens, rate limiting, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
